Blackberry Pearl Vs the I-phone, Which is the Best Business Mobile?

Ding, ding… Round One: With the Blackberry 8820 coming soon to a store near you, all over the country Business people are facing the eternal business question… Should I switch to the trendy new iPhone or take the plunge and upgrade to the sexy new “Crackberry”Well if these two juggernauts are really going to go at it in the business arena, then best place to start is definitely Business Email. Right, BlackBerry is set up with Microsoft Exchange Server and sports the new fangled intelligent push email - the iPhone does not. Take that! So what does this mean to you? Well when email is sent to a BlackBerry, then your new Mobile phones message is downloaded instantly – then and an LED on the phone flashes to notify you that you have a new message. It’s all instantaneous and you don’t have to do a thing.

Meanwhile, the iPhone, on the other hand, recognizes new messages at very best only every 15 minutes (what!!!) and you also have to check to see if anything has arrived. Obviously the Blackberry wins here especially as the act of having to actively check for email means wasted battery usage as you have to open the iPhone’s email program every single time you wish to check to see if you have a new email Kapow! Round one to Blackberry.

Round Two: Goes to the Blackberry as well… why because the the iPhone fails to synchronize as well. If a BlackBerry user chooses to change something such as a calendar event on your desktop computer in Exchange, well then the change will instantly appear on the BlackBerry phone. Obviously this just makes it a breeze to keep track of basic business information. So no more worries about outdated data or manually updating one’s handheld anymore – not thatnks to the Blackberry Syncing. Round Three: It’a knowck out. Here’s a list of reasons to prefer the BlackBerry over the iPhone:

The iPhone doesn’t have the good old cut and paste capabilities, something we find unbelievable.

The BlackBerry’s phone quality is simply much, much… better than the iPhone’s

The BlackBerry possesses a contacts application that simply makes contacting people by any given method heaps more convenient

The BlackBerry has GPS which definitely makes Google Maps a hell of a lot more useful.

Despite Apple’s long standing reputation for friendly user interface, the new BlackBerry possesses fantastic keyboard shortcuts that make navigation around and between applications truly a breeze. The Blackberry battery simply last longer. You see, the battery runs out much faster on the Contract Phones. This definitely makes it less reliable. We almost forgot the price differential. The iPhone is a much more expensive device. At the end of the day it will simply cost you a lot more money And in these times that the final blow

Mobiles vs Cordless - You Decide

One of the biggest advantages of the mobile phones is that it can be carried anywhere ensuring that wherever one might be he is assured of keeping in touch with his near and dear ones. One can also use them to send short messages.

Another feature that makes it popular amongst the masses is the fact that one can take pictures from mobiles. Mobiles also have videos and the entire event can be captured live and can be replayed at any convenient time.

One can also download songs of his choice and make the dialer listen to them rather than the conventional Tring, Tring! One can also listen to music or radio on his mobile. Mobiles also come in several colours and designs.

The cordless phones on the other hand can be termed as the earliest mobile phones. It gave people the freedom to move while talking rather than being forced to sit at a place and talk as was the case with conventional phones.

However, they carried certain shortcomings. Firstly one cannot go far from the land line, the connectivity wasn't very good and certainly one cannot carry it with oneself to all places wherever one went. Not to forget several other features which are there in mobiles and which did not exist in cordless.

It is true that today there cannot be a comparison between cordless and mobiles but what should not be forgotten is the fact that it was cordless that gave birth to the idea of a mobile. Thus, cordless can rightfully laid its claim on being the idea behind the creation of mobiles. And this is not the end, every day new versions are coming out and the day is not far when one can even watch a DVD on his mobile!

The Superphone is Coming - the Sony Ericsson Paris

Coming soon is a new killer phone from Sony Ericsson, known only by its mysterious codename: Paris. Sony Ericsson Paris - what is it?

There's been a lot of speculation as to what the Sony Ericsson Paris actually is, but what's known for definite is that it is going to be Sony Ericsson Mobile phones uber-killer-mega-hero phone for 2008. Final specs are, it's fair to say, a bit thin on the ground, but there have been persistent rumours from people who state they've tested it. Specifically, they say it's a slider with a touchscreen and a QWERTY keypad, has got a 40x480 VGA screen, has a 5 megapixel camera, has built-in GPS, and is based around the newest Symbian interface, UIQ3.3. Assuming all that is true, it seems likely that what we're soon to be seeing is the next phone in near-legendary 'P-series' of Sony Ericsson smartphones, that began waaaaaaaaaaaay back when, with the P800.

If that's true, it means that what it'll actually be, on release, is the Sony Ericsson P5. Given that I have a Sony Ericsson P1 now, and have been waiting to hear about the P5 since last November, you may well understand why I'm... a tad excited! Sony Ericsson P5 - showing other mobile phones how it's done Now, I admit it's a bit silly getting so excited over a mobile phone that hasn't even been officially announced yet, let alone released, but it really does look like it could be the coolest phone I've ever seen. That list of features is suitably stunning, and it looks the business. Look around the edges of the phone, and you'll se metal accents, and metal edging, which seems to be in a muted, menacing gunmetal colour.

Oh, but it won't be cheap. I can guarantee that, right now. Sure, there are loads of great mobile phone deals out there, but this, folks, won't be one of them, because I can just about guarantee it will cost a fortune. And believe me, it'll be worth every single penny, because it looks like a serious contender for best Contract phones ever. But I'll tell you this, it's immediately, blatantly obvious what the Sony Ericsson Paris is designed to do. Look at the touchscreen interface Look at the metal accents round the edge. Look at the suitably shiny screen. I'll tell you what they're doing... they're going after the O2-exclusive iPhone, that's what. On the strength of what we know so far... well, they may well do it, too!
